50+ Ministry
Our 50+ Ministry is composed of a three pronged involvement (SSS) of our seniors.
#1 "S" - Social
The emphasis for this "S" is to provide as many different ways as possible to bring the seniors together for times of fellowship, and in many cases, a meal. Every third Thursday at 4:00 pm the group gathers in the Fellwoship Hall of the church for a time of table games. The group that gathers for the table games is called J.O.Y (Just Older Youth).
Every other month on the fourth Saturday we meet in the Fellowship Hall of the church at 5:00 pm for a Fellowship Meal and a time of entertainment. On the off months we have a travel activity of some kind planned.
#2 "S" - Spiritual
With this "S" we offer events or activities that will challenge us spiritually. This may be a Bible study, a revival, or it could be a travel activity to some location of spiritual significance.
#3 "S" - Service
In this category we try to involve the seniors in some appropiate missional service activity. |

Our 50+ adults served at the collection place (Bloom Electric) for the 2011 Operation Christmas Child ministry on Saturday, November 19th. Some of what was done included: filling shoeboxes, packing the showboxes into larger boxes and then loading the larger boxes on the semi trailer for shippment to Denver, Colorado. Once in Denver the showboxes will be repacked for foreign countries south of the United States. This is one way our seniors are helping to share the Gospel to the ends of the earth.
